“Build the language usage platform, explore the Intangible Cultural Heritage” — The 10th Bilingual Festival
在12月14日至12月19日期間,我校舉辦以“搭建語用平臺,探索非遺文化”為主題的第十屆“中英雙語節”活動。在本學年國際部“家國情懷”的德育教育大背景上,以中英雙語呈現對非物質文化遺產的探索,借語用的平臺,搭思維的翅膀,展現對全球關注性議題的思考。
During 14th to 19th December 2020, our school held the “Build the language usage platform, explore the Intangible Cultural Heritage” of The 10th Bilingual Festival’. We focus on the “National sentiments” in the Moral and Civic Education lesson and show the students how to explore the Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Bilingual Festival of the International section of Kao Yip Middle School this year. Build the thinking wings with the language application platform and let students think about the global concerns.
小學1-3年級,學科結合引導同學認識“非遺”,了解後利用學到的知識創造關於澳門“非遺”的美術作品,再加上文字,形成一張關於自己作品的海報,並在班級之間互相介紹解說。4-6年級的學生以“我與澳門非物質文化遺產”為主題舉辦演講比賽,從班級內的初賽,再到年級之間的總決賽,優秀的演講稿更可獲得貼在壁報區域展示,此次比賽展現高年級學生的演講能力與組織能力。全體小學開展“齊賞嶺南文化”的圖文比賽,學生獨自製作繪畫作品並在班內進行講解,讓澳門的嶺南文化之美融貫在雙語節當中。
For Primary 1-3 students who know about the Intangible Cultural Heritage by the integrative studies. They make the creative posters with their pictures and words about the Intangible Cultural Heritage Macao by their learning and understanding. They have to explain their concepts and ideas about the posters between different classes in the same grades. For Primary 4-6 students who have a speech competition for the “Intangible Cultural Heritage Macao and I”. First, there is a preliminary contest each class in the same grade and choose the best one team from each class. After that, one of the best team each class takes the finals in the same grade. Then, the excellent speeches are put up on the notice board. It shows upper primary students have high qualities of the speech and the organization abilities. All primary students take the competition with both pictures and literary compositions of the “Appreciate Lingnan Culture”. They create their own drawing with explanation for the pictures and they have to share something about their pictures with their classmates. The great charm of Lingnan culture in Macao is integrated into the Bilingual Festival.
12月19日上午,翹首以盼的“中英雙語節”重頭戲——“文藝大匯演”隨著校歌的奏響拉開了帷幕,校長向全體師生致辭預祝雙語節圓滿成功。第一個表演節目《童謠串燒》,在表演中以剪窗花剪為主題,同學們稚嫩的話語,生動活潑的表演傳承了這流傳千年的中國傳統文化特色。窗花是我國民間傳統文化之一,作為新年的裝飾,不僅能烘托節日氣氛,還代表著人們對未來的美好期待。
On 19th December morning, the important and highlight part of the Bilingual Festival — Literary performance which begins with our school anthem. Our principle, Mr. He, gives all teachers and students a speech to wish the Bilingual Festival a great success. The first performance is “Chinese Nursery rhymes mix”, which shows the topic of the Chinese paper cuts by children’s tender voice. Their lively performance inherits the feature of Chinese traditional culture of spreading for thousands of years. The Chinese paper cutting is one of the traditional cultures in China and it is a popular folk artwork. Chinese always decorate with the paper-cuts on the Chinese Lunar New Year. It adds both delight and festivity to the life of the ordinary people. And another meaning of the paper-cuts is that people look forward to having a better future.
接下來的英語話劇《十二生肖The Chinese Zodiac Story》,表演了十二生肖的傳說故事,舞臺充滿了想像力和創造力,演繹中華民族傳統藝術與國際化的完美融合。
Next performance is English drama ‘The Chinese Zodiac Story’ that talks about the legend of the twelve zodiacs. There is full of the imagination and creativity on the stage. It makes the Chinese traditional folk arts merge perfectly into the International culture.
本次雙語節活動讓每個學生都能快樂地學習普通話及英語,展示了自身的風采,在表演中收穫自信,感受到學習語言的魅力,展現IB國際課程中的國際情懷教育——對多元文化的認識尊重和包容。
Students can learn Putonghua and English happily through the activities of the Bilingual Festival this year. They can show their own styles, get more confidence and enjoy the charming of the language learning from this activity. It shows the teaching of international -mindedness of the intercultural understanding, respect and tolerance in the IB education.
