IB PYP Cat1 Teacher Training of International Section
為進一步推動我校的國際課程發展及培養老師對國際課程的專業能力,在11月7日和8日,我校國際部小幼邀請了廣東碧桂園學校小學部副校長兼國際課程培訓官王久紅光臨我校,作為導師與一眾小幼初步涉及IB領域的教師進行一系列有關PYP課程的培訓。
In order to further promote the development of our school’s international curriculum and cultivate teachers’ professional ability in international curriculum, on November 7th and 8th, the International Section of our school invited Ms Wang Jiuhong, Vice Principal and International Curriculum Training Officer of Guangdong Country Garden School, to visit Our school, as a tutor, conducts a series of trainings on PYP curriculum with a group of teachers who are initially involved in the IB field.
培訓內容豐富,安排精實,其中的主題包括,國際情懷和語言的角色、探究國際文憑學習者培養目標來發展全球公民的概念、超學科學習、概念驅動的學習、學習方法、探究過程、學生能動性和行動、計劃的過程和單元計劃書的角色。
在培訓中,王久紅老師運用多樣的教學模式,讓老師一起體驗探究活動,不同年級、科目的老師在這短短的兩天中展開了熱鬧的討論,彼此間積極地學習、相互交流。例如:各組分工來閱讀課程的譯本,利用不同的工具圖來展示自己對於每個單元項目的內容理解,讓彼此間的知識碰撞出不同的火花,把所看到、聽到、想到的內容層層分析、慢慢昇華成更具有深度且容易吸收的內容。
The training is rich in content and well-arranged. The topics include international mindedness and the role of language, exploring the IB learner profile to develop the concept of global citizenship, transdisciplinary learning, concept-driven learning, approaches to learning, inquiry process, students’ agency and initiative action, planning process and unit plan.
In the training, Ms Wang Jiuhong has used various teaching methods to let teachers experience inquiry activities together. Teachers of different grades and subjects have had lively discussions in these two short days, actively learning and communicating with each other. For example: each group uses different tool diagrams to show their understanding of the content of each unit item, so that their knowledge collides with each other, and the content of what they see, hear, and think of layer analysis, gradually sublimated into more in-depth and easy to absorb content.
最後一天的培訓中,王老師安排老師進行超學科主題「我們身處甚麼時空」的探究任務。在這個活動中,老師們經歷了一次探究循環,在小組探究合作中體驗,感悟、總結、匯報和反思,在做的過程瞭解了探究計劃與主題的密切連繫。在結束培訓前,大家發表對於兩天培訓內容的感想,思考過程中的所得所獲,積極反思在教學中需要調整的地方。
On the last day of the training, Ms Wang arranged for the teachers to carry out an exploratory task on the transdisciplinary theme “Where we are in place and time” In this activity, the teachers experienced a cycle of inquiry, experienced in group inquiry cooperation, felt, summarized, reported, and reflected. In the process, they understood the close connection between the inquiry plan and the theme. Before the end of the training, everyone expressed their thoughts on the content of the two-day training, thinking about the gains during the process, and actively reflecting on the areas that need to be adjusted in the teaching.
是次培訓感謝IB培訓官王久紅老師的遠來,豐富的內容以及精心的安排讓大家獲益良多,令一眾參與培訓的老師們對實施PYP課程有更詳盡的瞭解,相信兩天所得到的知識在日後能更全面地運用在課堂上,使我校的國際課程往更好的未來發展。
Thank you IB Training Officer Ms Wang Jiuhong for this training. The rich content and careful arrangements have benefited a lot from everyone. The teachers who participated in the training have a more detailed understanding of the implementation of the PYP curriculum. The knowledge of this school can be used more comprehensively in the classroom in the future, so that the international curriculum of our school will develop with a better future.
